Reading this for the parent-child book club for Zoe's English class. We are embracing our geekiness.
wow. I surprised myself by liking this so much. Great messages, but not too preachy. perfect.

I found this to be an easy read as I got through it relatively quickly--I was always engaged with what was going on and I loved the unique story line and the way format in which it is presented. It is like a bunch of little/separate stories all tied into one, but it is written so nicely that this is not confusing but instead all the more attention capturing.
I thought that Tuesdays with Morrie was a better read. I enjoyed the structure and overall storytelling, but I just wasn't left thrilled. It's a quick read (I finished it the same day I started it). I suppose that the reason I'm not in love with this book is that I don't agree with the premise (that the greatest gift God has to give is an understanding of our life) and I look to scriptures for moral guidance, not Mitch Albom. Overall, an interesting little book.
I liked The Lovely Bones idea of heaven much more than this one.

One of my dear friends from work gave this book to me, after she found out I had not read it. I LOVED it!!! I can not believe I had not read it before but it was one that piqued my interest every time I saw it, but it was always overshadowed by something more IMPORTANT.
So what is it about ? Well I am sure many people have just as many answers to give, to me it was about the connectedness of everything and everyone. It was about Love, lost and found, it was about forgiveness and letting go. It was about selfless acts done without thinking and how one person's actions can and do affect many other lives ....maybe even long after the person is gone.
It is a quick but powerful read and I highly recommend it to everyone.
