I began reading the book extremely intrigued by the different POVs. If you don’t know, every single chapter the POV changes. It’s a very interesting concept. So the book begins with a chapter set in real time where the mystery begins. But then you jump back to POVs from the day before for at least 5-6 chapters before you return to the mystery. Originally, I thought this was going to just be a way to introduce the characters but then I realized the entire book was like that. So throughout the entire story you have no idea who died or who did it… until like the last 25 pages. It was a MASSIVE build up to a really intense but crazy quick ending. Not sure how I felt about that.
BUT! Overall, it did hold my attention and I was able to finish the book while still processing the ending for a while (which is a good feeling). So while I had my issues with it, I know that it’s still a good read and one that many will probably enjoy.
Graphic: Sexual harassment, Abortion, and Sexual content
Moderate: Child death and Toxic relationship

Jules: the bride. A driven woman, running a successful online magazine. She's only known the groom six weeks, but she's sure he's the one.
Will: the groom. A charming television personality with some very dark secrets.
Their family and friends come to celebrate their wedding, but something will happen that will change all their lives...
I tend to avoid the "buzzy" books, and this one certainly had plenty of buzz around its publication. I'm of the opinion that no book/movie/etc. can live up to the hype. I was given this book, and it's been a couple of years since its original publication, long enough that I can't quite remember all the hype about it, so I thought I'd give it a try.
It starts off rather slowly, or so it felt, until I realized I'd read more than half of it in a couple of days (this is while working full-time, so I don't have a lot of time to read). The plot moves back and forth in time, and the chapters shift from one character's perspective to another's.
The plot is devillishly twisty, with several surprises that I at least didn't see coming. I also didn't figure out who the murderer was, so that's a big plus in my books. Foley plays absolutely fair with the reader; looking back, I can see the clues laid out perfectly clearly for me to see. All in all, an excellent read.
Moderate: Child death, Murder, Suicidal thoughts, Bullying, Suicide attempt, Grief, Self harm, Sexual content, and Toxic friendship
Minor: Suicide
