While animal murders thought to be the work of a big stray dog plague Quaid's town, he becomes intrigued by the new girl in town, Alika. She claims to be overprotected by her parents because of a strange affliction she suffers...

This is far too short to have any impact at all. A lot of its 150 pages is taken up from the pointless perspectives of random characters as they discover their pets/animals/livestock have been mauled. That information could have been divulged in a broadcast Quaid listens to and the extra time devoted to beefing up the relationship between Quaid and Alika and the werewolf mythology. Instead, it barely feels like anything at all happens to the protagonists, and the whole thing is over practically as soon as it begins.

I recently collected all the Point Horror Unleashed books. I sure hope the others are better than this blah, rushed effort.
