Moving, occasionally horrifying, lyrical story of three generations and the ghosts that haunt them. Copious echoes of Faulkner and Morrison, thematically similar to Lincoln in the Bardo and Underground Railroad, in SUS, Ward writes like her life depends on it and it is amazing.
