What the heck did I just read?? This was a cat and mouse game that slowly twisted and turned that left your head spinning, and no one can be trusted!
It’s Valentine’s Day and everyone is celebrating it appears at the Hampstead Heath. Jen whose a journalist had her own column, until she lost her job by lying, she is there to meet her friend. Suddenly she hears an argument between a man and woman, the fight turns violent and soon a bloody scene unfolds with both the man and woman dead! Five strangers witness the crime including Jen. Jen decides to dig into the past of the man and woman, she feels like there’s more to the story than just a lovers quarrel. When she begins to receive anonymous messages from someone who appears to be following her she begins to question her sanity, is her ex stalking her? Luckily Jen has her best friend Bex to help her and calm her down. Jen starts by questioning the other witnesses did they really see what truly happen that day at the park? Soon it appears someone is lurking in the background and they don’t want Jen to uncover the truth or are they stringing her along to their own twisted sick game? This was such a great read! I loved that it was narrated by Jen and Bex you got two different perspectives which helped build the suspense and added layers to the mystery! Five stars!

FIVE STRANGERS by E. V. Adamson is a very good thriller! I really enjoyed reading this propulsive suspense thriller about five strangers whose lives become connected after witnessing a murder suicide.
.
I really liked the London setting and the alternating points of view between main characters Bex and Jen. The pacing was really well done with super short chapters often 3 pages. Both women were unreliable narrators with secrets from their past which kept the mystery until the end. I liked how all the twists were revealed and I’d definitely read more from this author in the future.
.
CW: murder, suicide, animal cruelty and stalking
.
Thank you to Scarlet Suspense and Penzler Pub for my advance review copy!

Visit Hampstead heath as featured in the novel

Had a lot fun with this one. Five strangers witness a crime on Hampstead Heath. That's all i can say without giving anything away as once you start reading, this is like being on a rollercoaster. I realis that might sound like a cliche but OMG what happened? I read the first chapter, the the second, third and by the time I knew it, I was racing towards the end as I just HAD to know!

There is some twisty evil genius at work here. Not sure how the author thought this one up. Twisted or what? Ok, there are some unbelievable coincidences between somethings regarding the crime but do you know what? I didn't care. It was so well put together and the cliffhangers had me hooked and it was quite the ride!

POVs were cleverly used. Back and forth they went. I had neckache by the end of it all. Totally worth it. Who was fooling who and why? What DID happen that day on the heath? I shivered reading this as I have been to that exact spot and enjoyed people watching. Will do that again some day. With this book. Then look around me and wonder what kind of people are around me on the hill. Haha this book is getting to me....

You'll have a wicked time with this mind puzzle of mystery and mayhem!

Thank you Scarlet Press for sending me an ARC of FIVE STRANGERS.

FIVE STRANGERS was a twisty, sickly obsession thriller with some surprises that had me like
