rainbowbookworm's review
3.0
Hawthorne is as mysterious and Sherlockian as ever, but Horowitz comes off as whining and petulant to the point of annoyance. I enjoyed the mystery, the cast of characters assembled on the island, and the introduction of a figure from Hawthorne's past, but the character of Horowitz made this potential four-star read become a three-star read instead.
