Thought this was in many way brilliant but ultimately too short to display its brilliance fully.

This is a short read, but it really packs a punch! A good option if you've thought about reading Cien Años but aren't sure. Gabo's narration style is remarkable, at once cozy like someone telling you stories around the campfire and at the same time dizzingly fluid taking you from one timeline or perspective to the next, introducing dozens of characters along the way. I kind of feel like I blinked and couldn't tell you what the hell happened. I could read this five more times and still not catch all the details.
