For a cat story its art style was quite unsettling. I guess the author's usual horror genre bleeds through...😆
When I got used to the quite detailed pictures of eye veins and the almost pupilless depiction of Junji Ito's wife then the story was sweet and funny and a bit sad. Now I appreciate my cats even more. 😊

I was laughing quite a bit at this and it was the perfect little ode to not wanting a pet but ending up secretly loving them and being obsessed with wanting them to love you. Apparently Ito is known for his horror so the scary mouths and eyes in this make sense for him but they really were freaking me out lol.
