O Burnout

Sophie Kinsella

3.64 AVERAGE

Some books come to you at the right time. Prior to the romance taking the focus of the plot, this was almost too real. The author described burnout for women at my age in a visceral and knowing way and I felt very seen. I didn’t mind the romance and I enjoyed the town and side characters a lot, but the first half of this book will stay with me for a long, long time

Listened to it on audiobook- loved the British accents, maybe more so than the plot. A cute read!

I'm consistently drawn to Kinsella's style and pacing. Her characters, even with their imperfections, are always lovable and remind me of people in my own life. This particular novel resonated deeply; the portrayal of burnout felt incredibly relatable. It's a wonderfully funny and heartwarming story.
