"you said it happened in the UK?"
"yes. Dublin, Ireland"
If I was Irish, I might have dnf at that point... Apart from the lack of editor that knows european geography the book was an allright romance novel.
If you can ignore the flashback of teenie Cooper desperately wanting to make a toddler Adalyn laugh and be a good brother to her, the age gap doesn't read too bad.
Very straight view of the world (only piv sex is real sex). And from a European perspective the shock value of nude beaches is just hilarious. (After seeing enough naked 60+ year old bodies you can't find that shit sexy 😂)
Also hilarious that Adalyn thinks tits are just prettier than dicks and not once considers she might be bi...
Enjoyed reading it, solid spicy scenes, would recommend to people who enjoy hetero™ smutty romance books.

just eh
Idk I couldn’t get into it. Loved the spice but didn’t get into their love story as much as I would’ve liked - esp for a BBF.

3/5 ⭐
Unfortunately, it didn't live up to Her Greatest Mistake. I found it boring, and not because it was a slow burn but because the characters were really lacking any chemistry and life for most of the first 100 and then some pages.
There was zero tension, and any feels platonic or romantic that at times it just felt awkward to read about them.
Every once in a while something interesting (Ireland, spicy scenes) or at least filled with life happened, but overall the book was forgetable in my opinion

I didn't realize how much I hate big age gaps with the younger character not even being 25 yet.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one!!
The spice was great and the story even better!
What you can expect
- brothers best friend
- age gap
- marriage after a night out
- a whirlwind trip
- a pink house
