Such a short book but I really loved it! I can't really explain why, I just loved the atmosphere and the way the characters were written. Absolutely going to keep my eye out for a copy when I get the chance.

What a lovely, warm, little book. This 147 page novel was the perfect way to spend a cold winter evening! The depiction of Takako’s depression was so similar to my own, this story won me over from the very beginning. I didn’t always know where the story was going, but it’s a beautiful lesson in the power of books, bookstores, and really getting to know people.

Can a book not be both light in content and heavy in impact 😭. I want a comfort text that still moves me!! This provided the reassurance of mutual lostness and some of that AO3 ghibli escapism tho so not mad for the pleasant company

I loved Uncle Satoru. He's the family member we all need. A very cozy and wholesome read about finding your purpose in life and family.
