This is the darkest book of the series yet. Chase is a straight up sociopathic psychopath, to have so little empathy for your fellow humans is disgusting, I’d be curious to understand Tate’s source material for his character. I love that the guys have become closer in this group with the sole purpose of protecting Hades and making her happy. I would have loved to hear the lecture Zed gave Seph.

Loved this as much as every other Hades book! After that ending I have nothing but hope left in me that things aren’t the way they seem to be. I am as excited as scared to read the final book of the Hades series!

„I'm scared that I'll lose my best friend. He's my safe place. He's the only person who has always had my back, no matter what. I can't lose that. I'm terrified that without him, I'll lose myself. Even in my darkest days, he held onto my sanity—my humanity—for me, safeguarding it until I'd done what needed doing, then put it back where it belonged.“

„I want you to see that no matter what happened in the past, I'm in this with you one hundred percent. I wasn't there when you needed me then, but I'm here now. I'm not going anywhere, and I'll do whatever it takes to fix what he broke inside you.“

I...I just can’t form words right now.

This book was delicious, dark, and that cliffhanger oh my goodness.

Tate is a deviously beautiful mastermind and I am completely at her mercy.

Stay tuned for a full review once my words are working again!

Okay, words are working. Here we go:

[ First of all, yay! Cass isn't dead! Woohoo! As much as Tate likes to torture us with cliffhangers, I know in my soul that things will have a happy ending. I tried, and sometimes failed, to not think that Cass would be permanently dead, and yay! He's not! (hide spoiler)]

This books was once again, an amazing, heart wrenching piece of art from Tate. There were so many emotions and I really think Hades is my favorite female character of Tate's. I loved getting to see more of Hayden, rather than Hades in this one. Tate broke her walls down with this one, and getting to see behind Hayden's shield was very powerful. She's learning to trust again...for a second, at least.

The vulnerability and growth in this book for Hayden was just so good. It's almost like we're finally getting to see the scared little girl, that Hayden built Hades up to protect. The Hayden-Hades dynamic is so fun to read, and Tate really made them into 2 really separate characters.

Learning more about Lucas' background and his family was interesting. I'm really hoping to next spin off will focus on the Guild. I wanna know what those guys are up to!

Chase is disgusting as usual, and made me want to punch him in the face. Often. With a brick. Tate is really good at making this dude unlikeable, so kudos to her!

This cliffhanger is hands down the WORST one I've ever read from Tate. It's like she just sits there giggling about ways to make us curse her name. I was NOT expecting that ending to happen like that, and I am so upset that I have to wait until September to see it resolved now. THIS IS WHY I HAVE TRUST ISSUES!
