I feel like this is a case of the hype hurting my overall feel for a book. Similar to The Fault in Our Stars I was expecting a huge tearjerker, and while I shed a tear I felt like I knew what was going to happen.

Needless to say I did enjoy the story of Lou who takes a job working for Will, a quadriplegic with a quick wit and a sullen disposition. Her family pushes her to remain as she became the families only financial supporter. Lou makes it her mission to show Will that life is worth living after his accident. Will shows her how to enjoy life, try new things and to find her passion.

WHY WOULD I DO THIS TO MYSELF
I don't even want to write an actual review because I'll just start bawling again.
It was really good, though, and it challenges you to think. I will probably wait to watch the movie when it comes out on DVD so I can be surrounded by chocolate and Kleenex and puppies. Now I have to go drink a bottle of wine and try to read something that won't destroy my life.

Basically picked up this book because the movie was coming out soon and I wanted to read it before I watched the movie...
That said, the book was good like really good..found myself laughing out loud in some parts..I loved Clark and Will.. What they had was absolutely beautiful.
P.S: am I the only one who got the feeling that the trailer for the movie was very misleading about Clark and Will's relationship?

Not sure if I could love but hate a book more. It was so raw and really hit all the right spots for emotions. Will’s reasoning and way of life is completely understandable but damn did I get attached and hopeful for a different ending. I cried like a baby the last couple of chapters and felt so attached. Such a great book about something that could be so real life. Left feeling so empty and heartbroken for Lou and Will’s mother.

I laughed more than I expected and cried most of the last 5 chapters. Such and easy read.

This was a very tough read for me. I tend to enjoy happily ever after endings and this book was not one of those. It brought forth so many emotions and forces us to consider the ethical dilemma that all the characters had to contend with. In my opinion there was no good answer that worked for everyone.
Nonetheless it was a beautiful story
