Review to come and other reviews on my blog (bio)

I loved this book! I needed some time to get into it, but then all the mindblowing stuff happened. People not being who you think they are. There were really some amazing twists that had me completely surprised and amazed. I don't know what I can say without ruining the book for others. I feel like I get to a spoiler very easy.

This was my first Gillian Flynn book, and I have to say I did really enjoy it. The story was gripping, even after the twist in the middle. You sort-of expected the twist, but not the reason behind the twist... But that will make more sense if you read the book! It was difficult to pick a new book to read once I'd finished this one, as I felt so involved with the story of Amy and Nick.

I do agree with some of the more negative reviews, insofar as the language used was a bit OTT in parts, and I must admit I was slightly disappointed with the ending, but more so because I wanted the story to carry on, rather than the ending itself being bad... Again, that would become clearer upon reading the book yourself!

I'm really not sure what else to say, which is frustrating as this book had me thinking about it and the characters for days and days afterwards, indicating that it was obviously very good, but I can't really put in to words why it kept me so hooked. There was a degree of suspense, there was most certainly plenty of mystery and drama, and the characters were very real to me also. (although this may have been helped by the fact that the film was due to come out and I had pictures in my head of Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike).

It's like if a writer for 2010s thought catalog wrote a book for Tumblr.

Its good at some times, not so good at the other times. U may love the charecters at some time and also hate the same characters at the other time, as the story proceeds.

This story might have set an example on toxic relationship(in the disguise of a love story)

This has been on my list for a few years now, and it didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed the structure and mystery elements of this one. While the characters were mostly unlikable, it was by design, which made them interesting. I wish I hadn’t seen the movie first, but that’s not the book’s fault.
If you’re a fan of mystery and dark characters, this is a must.
