Great second chance romance! Axle was the boy next door and when he walked away from Olive she was crushed. Now he's back but she's engaged. This is an emotional roller coaster ride with it's ups and downs but at the end you are happy to take the ride!

Interesting.. but something was definitely off.

Okay, not going to lie. I loved Olive and Axel together.. but the math just didn't add up. They were next door neighbors and best friends until they went their separate ways in High School. These two had some deep crushes on one another and they eventually slept together one night after a terrible party. Olive was 17 years old and Axel just turned 18 - what a great birthday present for him: her virginity.

Well that one night turned into a bun in the oven. I was a little confused on how she found out so quickly.. but hey, whatever floats her boat I guess. Three years later, she has a a beautiful girl named Lark. Oh, and he magically floats back into their lives. Even though she's engaged to the douchiest guy ever, and kind of for a dumb reason too, they still have sparks between them. He's determined to win her back and doesn't seem scared to know that Lark is his.

Now Lark is almost 4 years old.. Axel is now 23 years old... and I'm still confused on how the hell this is 3 years later from when she found out she was pregnant. Am I missing some important information? Aside from the math that will continue to confuse me, the love that these two had was something special. They were two puzzle pieces that just worked and I was really happy that they finally got their happy ending.

Overall, it was a pretty quick book to read and if someone can explain the math to me - I would be eternally grateful and probably give you my first born child (whenever that happens).

This story had me going through some ups and downs. I loved the characters and the storyline. Each made a mistake and are paying for it years later. Axel became a boxer at a young age. He grew quickly and was well known. He has this mantra he follows and it works....until something changes. One min I feel sorry for Axel but then a second later I am so disgusted with him I can’t stand it. He redeemed himself but it wasn’t an easy road.

This is my first book by this author. The story was good and I came to care about the characters. Holly Holt narrated this and did a good job.
