Lovely, thought-provoking, sometimes heart-wrenching. Local poet. Highly recommended.

“Drought radiates from a sidewalk’s whorled spine. / Ocean salt scours an inland parking lot. / Freeways jangle their spurs / across the routes of the west.”

—From poem “The Myth of the West”

First glimpse into Native American Literature — never really had the opportunity to indulge in the genre before. I’m so happy this was the book to introduce me to it — the poems are powerful and fruitful. Highly recommend!
