4 Stars. This is a quirky, light read. I was giggling through most of it and could hardly put it down. Kitty was clever and cunning, though Irwin was also able to show her emotional side. Making Kitty an overall very compelling female lead. I thought that the author did a good job showing the nature of the upper class, how they spread gossip and how status meant everything. At times I felt that the burden Kitty felt was re-iterated too often, it began to lose its compelling nature. I liked how fluid the narrative was, mostly the book was in the POV of Kitty, however Radcliffe had his moments, as did a few other characters. I found this to be an easy, sweet read which I think I could easily read again.

4.5 just straight vibes

I really couldn’t put this down!! It was so much fun and straight up had me giggling. If you love romcoms and Pride and Prejudice, this book is for you!

I LOVE a historical romance, and throw in the Regency time period? I’m sat. The way this also has me hype for Bridgerton season 3??

I loved the way this story was told, you get every characters perspective, which gives such insight into what is happening all around the ton.

Kitty is straight up girlboss, gatekeep, gaslight. And I am HERE for it. And she really brought out the best in Radcliffe, without him even consciously realizing it.

Kitty and Radcliffe had the absolute BEST banter. I loved them so much and just adored the ending. It was giving major Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy vibes and you’re just rooting for these 2 characters who are lowkey denying their connection throughout the whole book.

My only complaint is that I wanted more story! I really didn’t want this book to end, it was just so much fun!
