I really want to like this book, but I can’t. I respect it though, but it is not for the reader who looks for depths in characters and character development…
There is no cathartic end (for me) unfortunately, and the men seem so dull and slow that at the end I even wished for poor Mina to end up with Dracula.

The characters are stiff and the dialogue is clunky, but the eerie imagery and descriptive style when the characters are silent save it from being outright bad

A classic for a reason. I thought it would be a relatively boring read because of how old it is but it absolutely blew me away. Maybe the best book I’ve ever read, definitely top 5
