This book had a lot of potential. It had fraud, and a whodunit to it, trading off between the husband and the wife. However this story dragged on way to often, and I find myself losing interest many times while reading.

The ending was a shock and totally messed up, in a good way, but getting to that point was a struggle.

I received a free copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really wanted to like this book more. The first chapter was enthralling but as the book went on, however, I found that it got a little long-winded. I understand the story behind the book requires a lot of background, however, I did lose interest in the story after a while and had to put it down a few times and then go back to it at a later date.

I do love the style that she wrote this book in, with 2 1st person accounts and then a 3rd person account. The idea of him writing it all in a document and her telling the world on a crime podcast called 'The Victim' was very interesting, it's a great way to connect with the modern reader as podcasts are so popular now.

Overall the concept was great and it was well written, I just wish it could have been told in less pages, the length really did make me lose interest, sometimes it almost felt as if it were just rambling on.

Picked up randomly from library

Thriller. Would have given it five stars that had ending not been unfinished.

This book hooked me right in, and it was so good.
Oh yes I remember this book the husband in this book was a piece of shit.
The husband was a consistent idiot in this book, it was a little hard to read because of him.
I got this book for cheap at chapters and to be honest all the decent or good books are the ones that are ons sale. I have found so many books on sale that are so good. So if you have a chapters near you go to the sale section, because that is where the best books are.

I haven’t watched the tv show that is this book, so I don’t know what that is like or if it’s any better.
But I just found the book a bit boring, the ending was probably the most unpredictable.
I would recommend it to people who read love books and read wanted a bit of a thriller

3.5 stars. I found myself rushing through it as I wasn’t too engaged (although engaged enough to keep reading). However, there were some twists I didn’t see coming so that gave it another half star.
