I've been reading John Allison's stuff since Bobbins back when I was in college, but I think this series is my favorite--I love those mystery-solving tweens. LOVE.

3.5 stars. The whole onion thing is kinda disconcerting. If any Bad Machinery verged on creepy, it'd be this one. Plus, Blossom is such a pain.

Another funny, wonderful, amazing story from John Allison.

This series just gets better and better.

In possibly the strangest mystery yet in Tackleford, an unpopular new student (who eats only raw onions) begins converting every student in Griswald's Grammar school into- a friend? A minion? Only Shauna seems unaffected by this bizarre onion cult and it is up to her alone to save Charlotte, Jack, Sunny, Linton and Mildred- but from what?

Nothing makes me laugh out loud like Bad Machinery. And Shauna got a bit of her own story this time, which was lovely.
