In the interview with the author he says he hopes to write more about Rachel. Maybe one from her POV? That would be cool.

Listened to the audiobook. I've been a Michael Connelly fan since the beginning, and this one does not disappoint.

Connelly always has a good plot and good characters with some flaws. The Scarecrow featured those good characters and plot twists with a secondary theme about the decline of the newspaper. I like McAvoy but not as much as Bosch or Haller and hope Rachel Walling shows up in future books. A strong 4 stars with despicable villains.

A nice book. I was thoroughly engaged, but in the end not as satisfied as with other Connelly books. Maybe I am just disappointed that I now don't have any books left. It was very much like The Poet, so I guess I should give it 4 stars as well. But right now it feels more like 3.
Connelly always satisfied. I really need some time off so I can plow through all the Bosch books I've missed (great audiobooks as well), but this revisiting of Jack McEvoy from The Poet was a fun read.
