No sé cómo cojones lo ha hecho, pero es que la autora ha clavado el tema de la neurodivergencia. Chapó, señora.

I really enjoyed this one. Eleanor did make me laugh out loud occasionally with her observations. Really great.

Eleanor Oliphant leads an easy and carefully routined life. She is working at the same office since she was 21 and never takes any time off work. Eleanor is not very sociable and prefers spending her time alone, i.e., by reading books or solving crosswords. On weekends, she buys and drinks the same two bottles of vodka. From the outside, anyone can say that she is living an uncomplicated life. However, in reality, the situation is different. Eleanor is suffering from depression and social anxiety because of a certain incident that occurred in her life when she was very young. Her life changed for the better when she came across Raymond, one of her office colleagues. Raymond turned out to be a supportive and caring friend who helped her to come out of her shell.

The plot of Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine is poignant yet beautiful. There is a drastic character transformation of Eleanor from the beginning to the end of the book. I loved the character of Raymond. Initially, he was nothing but a nuisance to Eleanor. But by the end of the book, their relationship was something very pure and beautiful. After reading this book, one of the thoughts that came to my mind was: "Everyone should have a friend like Raymond."

The author has crafted the story of Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine beautifully. This book will give readers comfort, hope, and the urge to seek professional help if the need arises.
