There were a lot of instances where the terms were too difficult to understand but the storyline was quite good. The plot twist especially were enjoyable. I do have to mention that her other books I enjoyed more.

DNF. I was bored. I didn't care about any of the characters except 1 and he wasn't even really a main character. And tbh I probably only cared because he was gay(?). I stopped reading at about 20 pages after 50%

Loved it, felt like I was present in the text, however begins as a slow burn.

Sometimes continuing with this series is painful lmao

This one didn't annoy me too much. The story was ok (if still confusing and with some odd details about people's accents and stuff). The Kay's emotional journey stuff I could do without. I don't relate to it at all and I feel she gets bossed too much by everyone. As I was reading this it hit me she is a bit like Sharon McCone but less cool and less lefty. Kay goes out on a limb against homophobic bullying in this one (backed by Benton being sweet in this book). I would have liked to have the scene where the homophobic and creepy cop gets fired/disciplined in the frame, but I guess you can't have everything. I just have a nasty feeling he'll be back in the next book.

It's a creepy mystery where someone seems to be intentionally trying to start a pandemic. I had cold symptoms (fevers, aches, snot) as I read it so I sympathised a bit TOO much with all the illness in the book. LOL
