I am not going to write much as I realise I will no doubt me making enemies but for me this was just an ok novel - not amazing and not awful - but most definitely not a future classic! To all those people who told me it's a top ten of all time all I can ask is "what do you normally read?"

The Book Thief is one of the best book I've read this year. From the writing to the characters, everything was so authentic and captivating. I am too upset by the ending to write a comprehensive review (and also too lazy) but if I ever feel like it, I'm going to write my more detailed thoughts on this because it's a freaking masterpiece.

I think I would’ve absolutely loved this book as a young teenager and I liked it as an adult. Very cool perspective.
made me cry so much…. I really loved death as the narrator. I simply really liked this book :,)
