Talli is the last of her kind, a summoner. Unfortunately that also means she's highly sought after by Lord Ulrich for the sole purpose of exterminating her as the humans have done to every other summoner.
Aided in her escape by her adopted father, Lord Borin, Talli goes on the run with Sir Alan, a Knight and along the way pick up two new companions, Pavel and Lélo. They're hunted by the ferocious Captain Nina who will stop at nothing to complete her mission. In this case taking Talli down.
I actually laughed out loud at one part and I love how they bounce off one another. I can't wait for volume 2

This was a fun medieval fantasy manga style comic! I was able to enjoy the ride and the artwork until they explained more of the backstory. Lots of action to keep me entertained. Love me some good “witches are bad and we must protect one of the last ones!” stories.

Talli is the story of a girl who is blessed with a magical power that allows her to summon mystical beasts with her blood. She is the last of her kind, and is being hunted down due to this power being dangerous. For her entire life, Talli has been hidden in a castle with her adopted father; but now someone has figured out about her power and she must flee with her guard Alan to save her life! Along the way, she meets both friend and foe. There are many who are called heretics, that wish to help her due to their belief in her powers, but also many people of power who aim to kill the heretics and Talli due to her power.
I thought this was an interesting premise for a fantasy story. I originally thought this was a manga, and tried reading it left to right panel, but apparently, it is just in the style of a manga (this confused me!) While it wasn't a personal favorite of mine, I can definitely see the appeal to readers who enjoy a fantasy world and following a character who has a special power that is passed down through blood. The story was fast paced, full of adventure, and well thought out. Everything made sense, including the world building and the plot. I can see this series having a good following!

Jag kan inte påstå att jag är någon slukare av manga, kanske mest för att det är så bakvänt att läsa bak-och-fram. Dessutom tycker jag inte om tecknarstilen i viss manga där alla har såååå jäääättestooooora ööööögon. Det ser ju bara helt knäppt ut!
Talli är förvisso också en manga men den passar mig eftersom man läser den som en "riktig" bok, från vänster till höger, uppifrån och ner. Och vad gäller tecknarstilen är det egentligen bara är Talli som har de typiska manga-dragen.
Historien är en spännande klassisk fantasy förlagd till en fiktiv medeltid, där onda människor jagar en för dom utsedd fiende (i det här fallet Talli). Talli i sin tur måste bege sig ut på en stor resa som kommer att avslöja stora heligheter i både hennes förslutna och hennes framtid.
Första boken om Talli är riktigt bra, spännande från första sidan och det håller i sig boken ut. Det enda jag har att invända emot är att den inte är i färg. Det hade piggat upp ...

The first thing that really pops out to me is the art style. It's not like the new manga style you see anymore. This is almost based on a 1990's anime art style. It's a little refreshing to see someone take an older style of art and use it, rather than doing the modern manga art style.
Let's start with the plot. I feel like for a manga it goes really fast, but I feel like I'm missing a few things. I am not sure what, but this is the first volume so there may be further explanations down the series. Otherwise, I was extremely interested in what was happening.
I don't know if I like Alan or Lelo. I didn't connect with them as much as I did with Talli and Pavel. Hopefully, further into the next volumes, wells see some character development and I'll be able to connect with these characters.
