I got this book for research purposes but found the book to be more entertaining than expected.
Looking at our fashions through the years has me split between never wanting to follow a trend again (I mean denim or knitted dresses!) and wanting to follow them faithfully just so I can look back and laugh at myself.
The book itself was full of details but not really specific (unless you looked up the corresponding picture at the back of the book which can get annoying. There was lots of blank space to just caption the month/year on the page). I quite enjoyed some of the anecdotes (Kerry Packer's reaction to a fashion worn by a young staff member).
Insightful and entertaining. A quick read.
