I feel like I finally understand what a “beach read” is meant to be. This book was good and I enjoyed reading it. I enjoyed how the mystery unfolded and how the author used so many different perspectives. But I just didn’t love it. The Anne Frank reference, the obsession with Amy’s weight, and the frequent slow chapters mean I probably won’t be recommending it.

elin hildebrand somehow managed to write a book about life after death without getting too religiousy or cheesy and wow did she deliver on a unique and heartfelt story.

Fun and summery Nantucket details. Interesting how the storylines all come together - the idea of the “viewing window” and the “nudges” made for an interesting narration
