An ok way to kill an afternoon or a few.

Read Jan 2000
Reread (to Greg) Aug 2003

Having never read anything by Coupland before, I cannot compare it to his other works. I can, however, state that I liked it. I also found it had a lot more plot and a much more definitive ending than I expected from the beginning of the book (also based on what a friend had said about the author's style). Things really seemed to pick up the last 50 pages or so.

After reading and loving Hey Nostradamus and Girlfriend in a Coma, I couldn't wait to read this one. I was intrigued by the back cover and all the novel promised to entail. However, I was severely disappointed by this. I can't describe what it was missing, other than that there was no pazzaz. I was not gripped by the characters or the plot. Better luck next time!

This is one of my all time favorite books. Even if you do not read Coupland, Miss Wyoming is worth picking up.

I enjoy most of Douglas Coupland's books and found this little love story (well, most of it is flashbacks about the two before they met) very charming.

3.5 stars - really well written and interesting. The only thing that stops this from being 4 stars is the disappointing ending.
