This short story has major spoilers for the Mistborn Era 1 series. I read it right after reading that series for the first time and I found it appropriate to read it at that point in the Cosmere. It did seem to have minor spoilers for other characters and books in the Cosmere, true, but seeing as I didn’t know what half that stuff meant at this point I do not think it spoiled anything for me. I will see those extra characters once their books appear, I’m sure, and will be even more excited to connect these new dots. It just made me even more excited to read Brandon Sandersons other series.

I feel I needed this as a little closure to Kelsiers story after what happened to him in the Mistborn series. It was done well and was very interesting to find out even more new possibilities for the future of my Cosmere reading journey. I have a long way to go. I really loved this short Novella into the mind of Kelsier and seeing his true character and drive.
