Im surprised to be giving this such a low review considering how much I've loved all the Mistborn books but this one just didn’t feel as exciting as the rest. Its short and fast so it doesn’t have time to build up momentum the way the others did but more than that I think the ending was pretty unsatisfying. I can’t quite put my finger on what bothers me about this ending but I just felt it could have handled Kelsiers character and growth a little better and by growth I meant the lack thereof because he saw his friends die and the world ending and we just breeze by it for a heist sequence

This book deserves a 10/5. What a truly splendid way to show all the behind the scenes action and expound upon what the unknown, secretive and major players of the Cosmere have been upto behind curtains, changing the world and fighting and unseen war against enemies unknowable. I''d always expected there to be more of Kelsier in the coming books and I was proven right! Yay! What a truly amazing character, with an insanely convoluted plot tying in so simply and easily with the rest of the series and the books of the cosmere. Hear, hear! *Tips hat*
I wasn't expecting so much to be packed into a little novella, but it was (and in the best way). Had trouble putting this one down. A compelling story, and a great (and fitting) arc for Kelsier.
This is just amazing... if you loved the original trilogy you'll love this Novella.... but it's supposed to be right after Bands of Mourning... book 6 of Mistborn.
