So good

This book was absolutely amazing, once I started i could not out it down! I loved Angel she was such a strong independent girl, and tomi, I hated him for the first half of the book, but he definitely redeemed himself. This book ends on a huge cliff hanger!

This continuation from the Mounts Bay universe made my heart so so happy!! Angel moves to a new city with nothing but her late fathers truck & a fake ID. She gets a job at an MC-owned $trip club. Tomi walks in to see what all the fuss is about the new girl, & the rest is history. He’s a rude d!ck & she’s just trying to do her job to save money to make a new life for herself free from her haunting past.

The crossovers, the interactions, see this side of characters from this authors universe was so enjoyable!! The plot was perfect, the danger & drama just never stops. The tension was tight & the snap was so worth it!! The spicy was sensitive but so hot!! But that last sentence, even though it has nothing to do with our main characters here, so this can be read as a stand-alone….I will never forgive you!

So this book takes place in the same world of my loves. However, though there may be elements and cameos of Hannaford Prep sprinkled all around in this read, there was still a major learning curve. It almost threw me off the read for a minute, but once I met Angel and got her story, GIRL, I was hooked line and sinker. This dark romance is crazy, dramatic, heartfelt, dirty and so good....

At first I was a little shook because I thought this read was about completely different characters.... This is the time when you gots to read the preview so you don’t feel like a moron and suffer from major disappointment. After reading the Butcher’s perspective, I was expecting this read to be about the Boar’s MC, but it actually was a COMPLETELY different one, the Unseen, an MC gang in a completely different state that have made appearances, but we don’t know any of the characters.... except Poe so I thought we were going to learn more about her and Ruin, but nope..... We get Ruin’s brother’s story, which again, was a little disappointing, but I got over it realllll quickly because their love story was EVERYTHING.

The prologue just went into the story and it was a crazy thrill ride until the end! I loved the mystery and the allure that these characters had going on. First of all, the lovestruck curse was a genius because it skipped all that annoying haters that hate insta-love or insta-attract storylines. It set up the enemies to lovers vibe in a whole other direction and I was so here for it. It also kind of made me laugh because Tomi would get mad about it and it was funny. I also really liked that the author showed that it could go wrong.... Which was so unique!

I’m obsessive when it comes to motorcycle gang romances and this one was ONE FOR THE BOOKS!!!! These men are dirty, angry, sexy, and possessive as hell and I was gagging on it. Now, getting to know Ruin was a beautiful thing (oh how I would love if Ms. Bree would write his story), but Tommy was definitely a great main man for me. He is everything that you could possibly want in a dark biker dude.

I also was obsessed with Angel, she is such a badass chick and if I could have a fraction of her motivation and drive, I would be ruling the world. She was such a dynamic character and I just loved her and wanted her to have her happy ending so so SOOOOOO BAD! OMG and Tommy and Angel together were just so addicting and the STEAM WAS EVERYTHING GUYS!

UGH THIS BOOK WAS JUST SO GOOD....

Oh and that ending... what the actual hell?!? Where is the next book?!?! WHERE IS IT!?! I’m going to die until I get it!

Can I just say I AM OBSESSED!!!!! I'm highly obsessed with J Bree's writing, but somehow I didn't know this book existed until it came across my audible page. This story was awesome. The narrators were picked very well and the fact that the male voiced all male parts and vice versa? I'm a huge fan.
Angel was a great FMC. As someone who was abused and found a way to take some power back by working at a strip club but refusing to allow people to touch her? Who would have thought?? And then you have Tommy who trusts no woman, but gets struck by Angel?? Let me just say again... OBSESSED. Honestly, Idk what else to say other than READ THIS BOOK!! Or listen to the audio!! So goooooood

LOVED the FMC in this one. J Bree just knows how to write damaged but strong FMCs. She was perfect. Her taking care of business and getting herself set up by stripping was perfect. Posey was adorable. The Mounts Bay crew cameos and the Devil's cameo were perfect. I loved all of that.

I hated the MMC.

He may have pulled it together 80% into the book, but until that point he's extremely degrading towards the FMC both verbally and in his mind. Like over the top degrading, and then he's pushing her for sexual acts and degrading her for them immediately after so that she feels cheap. I hated their first three sexual encounters because of the way he was treating her. She was obviously traumatized she he still treated her horribly. He made assumptions about her without getting to know her purely based on the fact that she was a stripper when he met her. This is the guy who apparently only fcks strippers and biker chicks. And he's the boss of the strip club. And he respects women but not strippers apparently? Yeah right.

It takes him forever to get over the hangup that he's fallen for a stripper because so much of the book is actually focused on the MC and its issues that he's trying to deal with.

After the 80% he finally changes and starts being kind to her. He realizes there's more to her so he can humanize her now or something. Smh. He does some things to show that he's serious, but ultimately didn't grovel enough for how horrible he was to her for months.
