This was genuinely as heartbreaking as it claims to be. After all that Chris and Cathy went through, for it to end as it started - almost in reverse. The ending was bittersweet with Jory and Bart finally coming through the other side of all that suffering, but with Cathy still in it, even going so far as to choose the attic as her final place of rest because it's where she believed Chris was waiting for her, as well as Carrie and Cory, but, finally, the Dollangangers can be at rest.

This is the first time reading Seeds of Yesterday. I have read Flowers in the Attic and Petals on the Wind several times. This is not a badly written book, it just didn't have a lot that I had come to expect from VC Andrews books.

This book could have been much shorter than it was. The ending was not what I was expecting. It felt like the plot was going around in circles until it just ended.

I found myself still making comments at Cathy's behavior as I had done through out the other three books. Her character is so frustrating.

I have questions about Joel. The way his storyline ended. Really?!?
The way Cathy's storyline ended...

Overall, it was an enjoyable book.

I found 70% of this book to be very slow. But that last couple of chapters brought me to tears. I am glad I read these books and finished the series. This was a beautiful story to finish the Dresden Dolls. History does always have a way of repeating itself and the never ending cycle of generational trauma just goes on and on. Overall I found the series not to be well written. But the overall story I am very glad to have read.

The last couple of chapters saved this book. Without it I would have rated it a 2 as not much happened.

Chris & Cathy are just tragic characters. Cathy got a beautiful end. But Chris’s death wrecked me.

If I am being honest, nothing much happened in this book. It was a lot of drama. Bart was being chaotic and annoying, while I was still so in love with Christopher. I am only rating this as 3.5 ⭐️ because I loved the ending. It is just so bittersweet, and my favorite cheater was Christopher. Why did V.C Andrews have to do him like that??
