Awesome concept, limited execution. Licensing rights with the various companies means that you’re not going to get the people you’d really like to. That said, I was surprised how many we did still see (mind you, they were mostly Image and Dark Horse properties, so clearly they were more willing to play ball, but still). The story itself was okay, nothing spectacular, just a lot of setup for future stories. I’ll check out the second arc, so see how things progress, but that might be it for me if it doesn’t pick up some

Anyone who doesn’t like this is allergic to fun. It’s meta-ass real world/ comics crossover that could never happen anywhere but in a comic book.

See what I did there?).

While the overall premise of Crossover was interesting, for me the story fell kind of flat. It is unfortunate that I did not enjoy this book more than I did because the book came highly recommended to me by several friends. I went into the book with high expectations and it didn't really deliver for me. It just wasn't as engaging as I was hoping it would be. If this was meant to set up the rest of the series, the writer should have made this opening salvo a little more compelling.
