This is my first new adult book. It was a fun and fast read. At times, I really loved Travis (it helps that he shares a name with my husband). However, I have to take away stars for the violence. The level of violence described in the book is not okay and no one seemed to be quite as alarmed as they should've be. The rollercoaster ride of their relationship was fun to read, but the relationship was unhealthy. 50 Shades made me feel physically sick, because the relationship was such an abusive one. This didn't have that effect on me, but I do know that not everyone who reads this book will realize that this is not how relationships should be and for those reasons it only gets 3 stars.

I was recommend Beautiful Disaster by a friend at my work. I must admit that I enjoy this roll-coaster of pages. Jamie McGuire shows her passion through out this whole read. Her words come with the desire to need to know more.

Abby Abernathy is just an ordinary girl with a deep dark past and a need to get away from where her past may lead her. However Abby meeting Travis Maddox means facing her past head on every time she around him. But Travis, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs even if she wants to avoid what is undeniable. Travis is everything that she wants to leave back home but with confusing emotion she is unable to stop herself from falling for this reckless, hard-hitting boy.

Though this book starts off with what seems to be an unimpressive first couple chapters, it soon changes into a need to know more, finding you are hooked. Thinking of instant love was going to be the premise of this book I was shocked when both characters fought their feelings knowing that the love for each other is obvious even to the characters them selves. The journey of following Abby (lead female) through her thoughts and feeling makes the story an exciting adventure wavering between lust betrayal hope and passion. Jamie McGuire tell us the story behind Abbey 's choices and apprehensions, truly makes you feel like Abby could be your best friend if not a manifestation of what you would love for love to be in life. I really enjoyed this read with it's many turns and twist. There were times that had me laughing out loud and then the next minute I would be gasping at what one of them had done. From the moment that Travis and Abbey meet you could tell that there was an instant chemistry even if one of them didn't want to admit to it. I truly feel that the title of the book is a perfect way to describe the relationship between Travis and Abbey because their relationship was nothing if not a Beautiful Disaster.

However, I only rated it a 4 out of 5 stars due to the fact that the ending did not feel complete. I wanted to know they character future, whether they made it through the rumors and made the life they both wanted, desired and deserved. I hope to learn more about this relationship as I continue on with Jamie McGuire's second book "Walking Disaster" where Travis get to have a chance to tell his side of the story.

Even if you are not into romance novel this is a fictional telling of destiny and though there is love thru out the story you find that it is not the kind of romance you would find in those marked as such. Jamie McGuire put a balance of love and what it truly means to be a friend and a lover.

I really enjoyed this new adult novel I would definitely recommend it to you all.
The love story is really good and bad at tha same time and you just want more and more.
They have a love hate relationship and it drags you down whit them, in a good way.
I felt like I could relate to the characters and that I really got to know them and followed there development in the story.
It it in my opinion well written and a very good read and I will probably read it again.

I really enjoyed 'Beautiful Disaster' and found that I liked it more than the After series by Anna Todd. I thought the relationship was realistic, and it didn't jump into a romance between the two characters right away. They became friends and eventually came to a romantic relationship, and I really liked that. The relationship does have it's issues, but I really don't have anything negative to say about it off the top of my head. If you like a good "trashy" romance I think you should give this a shot!
