DID NOT FINISH: 28%

The writing just was all over the place. I had trouble pinpointing things about the characters because the editing seemed chonky. I already had trouble with some of the other opus but this is starting to confirm it.

I loved getting to read the rest of Millie’s story!

Her brothers did redeem themselves from the feelings I was having for them at the end of Warm Wishes, but they were definitely not my focus in this book.

I don’t want to go too into detail because I don’t want to ruin any of the fun surprises this book had. We all know Millie is fiercely independent, but seeing her embrace her softer side throughout her pregnancy was very sweet. Knox, Charlie, and Noah all turned out to be so different from what I was expecting of each of them.

I don’t know how a book could be a slow burn, but also feel like their relationship moved at lightning speed. Sam did a fantastic job with this one. I’m not sure what her plans are for future contemporary romance stories, but if we got one involving Kate with Noah’s personal trainer & some firefighters I would definitely not complain!!!
