Who writes a serious novel with a bat as a hero !! Kenneth Oppel did it once more for the reader in me.
Thrilling! Amazing! Highly imaginative!

Just like the Redwall series, but not as good

Dark and kinda weird.

I read these books so long ago I didn't remember them until today, when someone mentioned the series and sparked a childhood memory. But I remember them enough to tell you confidently that this series had my whole heart, and I will definitely be rereading it at some point!

I remember virtually nothing of this trilogy, except that the books were a bit weird. Just encountered something on the internet that made me randomly remember these titles suddenly. Thought I'd add them to my goodreads.

I'm not sure what I expected from this book, but somehow, it was a let down. Maybe I just didn't feel like reading about bats. Perhaps, after the suspense of Night Film, it just didn't have nearly the same amount of drive in the story. Whatever it was, I was bored.

That said, I can tell why a lot of people love these books! I just didn't.
