This was such an enjoyable book. I don't think I have ever encountered a more evil character than Kim White. If Satan had a daughter, I'm sure she'd be something like Kim.

I especially loved the first part of the book where Kim changes from an ordinary bored teenager who has everything a teenager could possibly want (good looks, popularity, money, boys,...), but isn't satisfied with it into a sadistic sociopath who only finds pleasure in the misery of her peers, teachers and everyone else except her dad. The way she manipulates her teacher Mr. Blakley and his naive daughter Caitlyn is sheer evil genius.

The second part of the book will appeal more to the afficionados of gore, violence, torture, murder, cannibalism and necrophilia, as Kim becomes more physical in her torments. The author gets a bit carried away towards the end of the book, but that doesn't diminish the fun I had reading it.

So as far as horror this gets a 5. However reading it wasn’t pleasant, hence the 2. I highly doubt it was meant to be, but I needed to take many breaks from seeing the world through Kim's eyes. Never encountered such a horrific person and hope to never again. The things Kim did was beyond deplorable. Her goal was to ruin lives just because and boy did she. The things she caused were horrendous and made it so hard to read at times. However, with all of that said I was determined to see how Kim's plans worked out! Will continue to follow Kristopher Tiana's work.

All that being said, it has been a year since I have read it and talk about this book ALL THE TIME.

Wow!! This is a full throttle ride with the ultimate teen psychopath. The main character is if Mean Girls met the Evil Dead on a road trip to Texas carrying a chainsaw.

The main character, Kim, is an all American honour roll cheerleader, admired, respected, envied. She decides the first person she’ll sleep with will be a man and not a boy and sets her sights on her teacher. Her plan works but now she’s pregnant and her baby need to be fed.

This starts as a controlled descent into sociopathy, Kim hates her boring life, her boring friends but finds excitement in destroying the lives of others whilst maintaining her golden reputation. As the thrill of this increases she spirals into extreme cruelty and full brutality.

This is extreme horror, it is gory, gruesome, explicit and not for the faint hearted. It is so appalling but it is a sickeningly great example of this genre, check the triggers, you have been warned!

I...um...I, uh, I read this book.

First and foremost: trigger warnings. All of them. You name it, it's probably in here.

It is the darkest, cruelest, most graphically violent story I've ever finished. The fact that I finished it - shit I couldn't put it down - is, in my eyes, proof that this author is incredible.

The writing, the voice and the pacing are incredible; the story is unapologetically depraved and that somehow gives the reader just enough distance to avoid feeling complicit in the MC's journey of mayhem.

This book is so fucked up I'm concerned that people will judge me for having completed it. Please don't judge me. And if you're in the mood for a splatter-punk meets sociopathic acts of cruelty, you'll almost certainly enjoy this book.
