Meh.
This had all the ingredients to make a perfect story
Sisters resolving rifts, witchcraft, diverse characters, women wreaking havoc and fighting for their rights…but this was so lackluster and boring.
It’s a slow moving story, brushes over their “spectacles” which could’ve been bigger in the story, or at least written about more.
I did like the characters a lot, I just wanted their story to be more exciting.
DNF about 80% through…and I only made it that far because I bought this on Audible and it pained me to throw that credit away.
I also kept hoping the story would get better, it didn’t.

This book should be marked as for young adults. I almost stoped at 25%, and decided to give it another try. But it's just not good. It seems written following a perfect plan of a hero journey. The plot is forced and completely predictable. I didn't like the writing either.

Really dug this Charmed-coded, 3-sister, fantastical feminist jaunt through Salem! It’s long and there are several lulls, but almost every time I started to think the book was getting boring, something would happen and it would pick up my interest again.

This book was creative and heartbreaking and interesting and frustrating. It definitely is a wild ride and somewhat inspiring. Enjoy the adventure but don’t expect it to be light hearted and whimsical.
