This was a really fun, offbeat murder mystery/thriller that was equal parts hilarious as it was thrilling. The main character is a matchmaker for psychopaths who, as we find out in more detail as we go along with the story, may be more of a psychopath herself.

This novel presented a cast of characters who were all quite lively: the fiance, the best friend, the new best friend, the wanna-be lover - they all brought fun little sparks to the story and really helped to create quite the story.

I loved uncovering more of the main characters past through flashbacks to her murderous parent's early days and the story had quite a few twists that really had me guessing about parts of the story until the very last chapter.

The novel was well written and included enough spunk and wit to keep me engaged and entertained throughout the whole story.

Received the arc from Berkley and Netgalley. I’d give this a solid 3.75. It’s like if Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka had a kid and this was her messed up adult life. I’ve read this author’s other books and she keeps you hooked but all her characters are really unlikeable. I spent most of this one wondering what is this even about? but I kept reading. I didn’t see the final twist coming, but it felt a little rushed. Still if you liked her other book, you’ll probably like this one too. It’s unhinged but I liked it better than Love Letters to a Serial Killer.

This is my second book by this author and I can say she writes unhinged women so well. Despite the tough topics, it was a really fun read. I was rooting for Lexie the whole time, idc! It’s a prime example of nature vs. nurture with some sharp twists, dark humor, and lots of reality TV references. This mix of thriller, horror, and satire really worked for me.
