Unlocking Mary's nightmares in San Francisco.

eh, the series is picking up again, but I'm not enjoying it as much as I would have in the past.

I loved this book. I remembered liking it, but I was just delighted by all the characters from the Pinkertons to the San Francisco Irregulars.

Enjoyed the book, but not as well as the others in the series. The Holmes POV, in particular, did not ring true for me, though it would have been hard to tell this story without it.

Read this 15 years ago. remember it being a little convoluted but enlightening for the insights and information regarding Mary's past.

It was great to finally "resolve" the pain Mary has suffered after the loss of her family in an auto accident and end her nightmares.
