For the love of God, don't read this book... It's so bad. Not even in a horror kind of way, it just sucked. It felt like he wanted a Saw story but ended up wanting a character similar to The Terminator as the hero. The worst part about this is that I wasted time finishing it after the 'N@zis helped us land on the moon' bullshit. It only gets a 0.75 bc I liked the relationships between the children and the traps were entertaining to read about, though hard to follow bc this guy isn't that great of a writer.

This book feels wrong to rate. Each time I thought it couldn’t get more disturbing, it kept getting worse. I found it on tiktok and honestly wanted to stop reading after about page 40-50, but kept going.. wouldn’t recommend
I have never DNF’d a book faster. No notes, other than I could use a lobotomy and an exorcism.

Brutal, violent and horrific. All the makings of a wonderful splatterpunk novel! I may be the twisted problem here, but some of the horror rides were a little too boring for me and the scenes involving them often felt rushed.
Aside from that, if you into kids and adults getting brutally murdered, Playground is for you!

Tiktok had my morbid curiosity with this book 0-0. Was surprised how much I cared for the characters that were stuck in the playground. At least the ones that weren't evil. This was my first splatterpunk book. If yall have read it let me know what you think.
