Es un relato breve, pero que mantiene la esencia de la obra.

I love Dracula but somehow didnt expected to enjoy this. But I did. Its a short but very engaging story with a very eerie and spooky feel. Perfect for when the weather gets colder, gloomy and rainy. Not as extreme as some modern horror but definitely a classic that I recommend if you enjoyed Dracula.

Okay, hear me out……

I’m not super into horror because I’m a fragile human with, what some might call, a delicate constitution. So in an effort to toughen up a bit I’m working on it. For some reason, I started here with an omitted chapter from Dracula. It’s cool. It’s dark. It’s gothic. It’s also…..predictable. I understand that most modern day horror and suspense is BASED on gothic horror authors work such as Stoker. So the predictability speaks to the influence Stoker had in the genre. However, I just hate these kinds of narrators it just feels so unrealistic or if it is realistic it speaks to how stupid people are which is equally irritating. Like, everything pointed to it being a bad idea to go up that road to the spooky village. I don’t find the story scary I just find it annoying. No shit some spooky shit happened. You went into a spooky place!

Honestly, I didn't really understand what was going on, which is very much a "me problem." However, the spooky vibes were immaculate and it's interesting to see how different Dracula was supposed to start out.
