Interesting to read such a classic sci-fi story! It definitely inspired Hugh Howey's Silo/Wool series and I liked the take on the internet/communications as well! Always shocked by sci-fi predicting essentially current times.

On the surface, this seems like a fairly straightforward and typical dystopian cautionary tale, but if you consider it's original publication date, then this is a truly visionary story.

Absolutely loved The Machine Stops. It was such an easy read and so thought-provoking, especially considering its release date in the early 1900s.
The second story, The Celestial Omnibus, resonated with me much less. I found it a bit confusing and not as gripping as the first one.
