Jack is so unlikable, which is tough for, you know, the whole premise of the book and everything

It’s light hearted but has substance.

It’s a boy meets girl but you don’t know what you’re hoping for

This was a cross between Bridget Jones Diary, Love Actually and Serendipity. Highly recommend the audio.

Overall I did enjoy this book. It is not your typical romance book as it spans over the course of years which I really enjoyed this idea. That being said, there were some things that annoyed me about the main characters, which was to be expected, they aren’t going to be perfect. Toward the end though, i just felt like Laurie was such a loser. She made some dumb decisions and while we knew she was a writer and wanted “more” there was never any elaboration as to what would be more for her. All of her friends kind of grew up around her and she stayed stuck in the same spot, never being able to support herself and be the independent like everyone else seemed to. and I don’t know if I saw much of a good character development. I understand they aren’t going to be perfect though. Again, overall I enjoyed it.
