there were points made, and I will implement the things I learned, but the authors constant name dropping was jarring and made me roll my eyes a couple of times.
take that out and the book would be much better

Although the book is still a great motivator to keep pushing yourself out of your comfort zone by taking the “Big Leap” and identifying your “Upper Limit” problem(s), the concepts explained in the book are unoriginal and barely scratching the surface.
His experiences of being a life coach seep through in that it’s very anecdotal and always seems to have a happy end.

When you work at 90% and fail, you can always tell yourself “I would have succeeded had I worked 100%”.
When you work at 100% and fail, it’s difficult not to feel like an utter failure

Listened via Hoopla. I think a friend recommended it. It's ok. There is some bleh stuff that sounds like "The Secret" but I do also believe we have more control over our emotions than we know. It's good to listen to a self-help book every once in a while, just to give yourself time for introspection.

This is a book for privileged people who are okay hearing about the minor whines of billionaires, that have somehow been made into a book. I've read more insightful and useful blog posts, at a fraction of the word count.
This is how it goes in every chapter:
I'm going to tell you about a crucial thing holding you back from wealth! Here's an example of a person who already has immense wealth! Here's another, about myself. Here's why the opposite way is so bad! It's coming, this wonderful insight! I'm going to keeping telling you about why the opposite way is so bad! Tiny insight that is basically a mindset shift. No practical examples or steps to figure out how you get there. There, I told you! I'm amazing, since I implemented this myself. Have I told you that I have a swimming pool at home, and once turned down a week's work that would give me $50k?
This is a guy who fired someone for being 15 minutes late. FIRED.
I was going to give 2 stars because the ideas are potentially useful (although I still have no idea how to do it) but I've just convinced myself into a wonderful mindset shift that I should stop listening to the garbage from privileged men.
Picked up on Kindle for free on the recommendation of a CPD programme I'm on.
