I loved this book. It continued the amazing plot of the blood gospel that kept me reading. There were a few surprising twists and turns as usual and the ending was amazing though also frustrating that we now must wait for more. If you like action and mystery that is biblical in nature and amazing characters-read this book, you won't be disappointed. I know the vampires might be a stretch but once you get used to it they make it even better.

Good story, non stop action and creditable characters, who are well put together, the good and the bad. I'm glad the door was left open for more stories.

15 hours and a good narrator make it worth listening to.

I have to say, I found that I liked the first book in this series better. I can't say why other than I found the first one more compelling and interesting.

this one started to feel...like, now that we had been introduced to all the key players and who they were and the great mystery in the first book... this was just eh in comparison. I listened to this book, as I did the first, and found myself zoning out in places and not particularly caring to go back and find out what I missed. This is not a bad book, just not one that kept my attention as much as the first one did. And I can't say that I will be rushing to get to the next in the series, though it's not so bad that should I need to read the next one for some reason, or it crosses my path randomly that I won't read it,

The characters from Blood Gospel are all back to prevent Judas from releasing Lucifer to bring around Armageddon. A real thrill ride. I can't wait for the next book.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series but this book was not as good as I was hoping it would be. Don't get me wrong this book was enjoyable but the story slowed and some of the characters were left behind in their development. I will read the next book in the series and have high hopes that the book will make a leap in readability and enjoyment.

Another great story, but this one seemed much better written and more fully developed in terms of characters and plot development than book one in this series. Judas Iscariot, cursed by Jesus with eternal life after his betrayal, has set in motion a plot to bring about the second coming of Christ by exploiting a young boy who he believes is The First Angel. Erin and Jordan, with help from Rhun Korza and other immortal characters, are tasked with saving the boy and preventing the anhialation of Europe in the process. The reader must keep in mind the fictional twist of this tale, a la DaVinci Code or Angels & Demons, but this story flows so well with historical context backing it up that the reader is caught up in the impending doom the authors have set in the background of the pages. I found myself actually caring about the fate of the protagonists, unlike the previous book. Cantrell seems to have gotten the hang of this genre with Rollins' guidance.

This was really good. I couldn't sleep afterwards, just thinking about everything that happened. It was so much better than the first book, and I really liked that one. My hands itched to grab my copy of the next book as soon as I finished with this, just so I wouldn't have to leave the story.
