While going through H. G. Wells books this title caught my eye because I remember having read this in 21’. It was a very exciting short read.

I was accompanied by a light feeling of nausea whenever I was reading Dr. Moreau. H.G. Wells didn't describe anything very explicit, but the topic in general just grossed me out. I guess people will argue that reaction was part of his point, but I really got no enjoyment or deep thinking out of it, just the willies.

A decent classic read, but left me wanting a bit more substance.

It was a good book, but not my kind of story. Well-written for what it is!

This short book deserves thinking through. Wells invokes debates of morality, nurture, evolution, loneliness and science all in under 200 pages. The story is compelling, the writing not too dated, and the horror vividly evoked. This would be ideal for a book group.
