Mehhhhh. Picked this up as a spur of the moment kindle read for a trip last week and didn't find it to be anything special.

If you've read her other two books, in the series, you will enjoy the final chapter of the series. It was a great read for anyone who enjoys politics. Nicolle obviously pulled from her experiences which made it feel more like real life than fiction. I finish this series at a time when it appears we are going to have our first female president. Here's to hoping!

Can't believe I proved to be a masochist and read the final book in this series. MADAM PRESIDENT is basically propaganda, the terrorism plot results in everyone's freedom and civil liberties being trampled and every character in the book acts like that's all totally fine. The author is unapologetic about her support for enhanced interrogation techniques and it's appalling. In addition to the extremely troublesome conservative policy ideas shoved down the reader's throat, there's also fat shaming, a character who is inexplicably incapable of being friends with other women (Dale) and poor writing. The story also manages to be boring even with it's insider look at how the White House functioned on 9/11 (and what could have been done better). I haven't watched Nicolle Wallace's show and am not sure if I ever will but I know I will not read another book by her. Lesson learned

Would have been a four star review, but it started to drag at the end.
