Sweet and spicy. I was looking forward to the second book in this series despite feeling luke-warm about the first one. I'm happy to report I liked this one a lot more--I feel like the author grew a lot between this one and their first, which is always something I'm hoping for. Poppy is hilarious and also someone who you admire as she works her ass off for herself and her kid. TK is swoony and just the love interest you need.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series but unfortunately this book didn't go as well for me. I love that the author talked about the dangers of football and CTE. However, I really didn't like T.K. He could be so angry and mean at times (which I know was meant to show the negative repercussions of football/repeated head injuries.

I really loved the beginning of the book and I though it was gonna be 5 stars for sure but the ending ruined it for me. I didn't like how things ended but I really loved this couple and their little family and I'm glad they had their happy ending, all their bonding moments were adorable and there was so much love. I really felt for both characters, their story made me really emotional at times and it was an overall enjoyable read. The angst at the end and third break up act was what put me off and I really hated that.
