I really enjoyed this book. The romance, comedy and football. But I wasn't a fan of Poppy. I think the author wants you to emphasize with her and she goes into a lot of detail explaining her point of view versus TK's point of view. The CTE I get, it's the single mother who selfishly keeps her son from his father and justifies it that I don't like. But overall the book was good.

I know a lot of people didn’t like this book, because it resembled to much of book one. While I see some resemblance to it, I still really enjoyed the book and liked the awareness Alexa is bringing to concussions in a sport. I had a hard time putting this book down once I started reading it. I enjoyed it!

Second-chance romance is very much not my bag, but this is one of the better books I've read in that trope.
One of my favorite portrayals of the secret baby trope as well. I think the aspects of motherhood in this book are incredibly well portrayed and the family connection felt real. What didn't feel real was how easily TK slotted himself into the life that Ace and Poppy had together before he learned about the kid. But given that romance is often about the ideal fantasy, I'm fully willing to overlook that.
This book is highly critical about football as a sport, in a way I found incredibly refreshing that is never talked about, but it might be off-putting for a die-hard football fan.

I want this to be twice as long and with numerous sequels. I adored TK since his appearance in Intercepted and was so happy he was the romantic interest for Poppy, who is a force and deserves it all!! So endearing, hilarious, and stays true to her values. She’s not afraid to say what’s on her mind. I appreciated the discussion of brain injuries and dangers of playing football, which is not something I knew about. Alexa Martin wrote this harsh reality in a way that made me care deeply about the characters and become invested in their well-being. Cannot wait for the next book in the series!!
Omg and all the side characters!! Love the girls!! Plus Ace truly is the sweetest kid. My heart is still melting

It’s not that I didn’t like the storyline, it’s just that it constantly feels rushed. I feel like I barely knew TK as well and everything just either gets resolved too quickly with barely any info on how it got worked out or it’s just skimmed over.
I really wanted to continue the series but the lack of substance just has me stopping at this one. There’s also so many grammatical errors.
